Gift Aid

As a registered charity, St Alfege Church can reclaim tax at the basic rate on all donations made under the Gift Aid scheme. With the basic rate of tax at 20%, the church receives £25 for every £100 you donate, at no extra cost to you. A higher-rate taxpayer receives other benefits.

Donations of shares, land and buildings are also extremely tax-effective, and it is possible to give through a trust, a company or a legacy.

If you are a UK taxpayer please make sure you sign a St Alfege Church Gift Aid form which enables us to claim 25p in every £1 of your giving from the HMRC.
