Thank you so much for your generosity. Every gift makes a difference.

Regular giving

We encourage regular donations towards the upkeep and mission of St Alfege Church.  Regular giving enables St Alfege Church to be plan accordingly.

Single gifts

For those able to make a significant lump sum payment, Gift Aiding a donation is a tax efficient way of contributing one or more gifts, meaning that your gift increases in value to the church by a quarter at no extra cost to you.

Pledging over a period

This is often the most efficient way of contributing, since it spreads the contribution over a number of years. This both helps to make a larger gift affordable and enables the church to predict future income with a higher degree of certainty.

Tax efficient giving (Gift Aid)

As a registered charity, St Alfege Church can reclaim tax at the basic rate on all donations made under the Gift Aid scheme. With the basic rate of tax at 20%, the church receives £25 for every £100 you donate, at no extra cost to you. A higher-rate tax payer receives other benefits. Donations of shares, land and buildings are also extremely tax effective and it possible to give through a trust, a company or through a legacy.

If you are a UK taxpayer please make sure you sign a St Alfege Church Gift Aid form which enables us to claim 25p in every £1 of your giving from the Inland Revenue. Please contact the church office form more information.
