Choral Scholarships 2026/2027 

St Alfege Church, Greenwich is offering four Choral Scholarships from high-level singers seeking rigorous liturgical and ensemble experience alongside their studies.

Scholars sing weekly Choral Eucharist, monthly Choral Evensong, major festivals, and concerts within an auditioned SATB choir of cathedral/collegiate standard. Repertoire spans the 16th to 21st centuries, with regular solo and small-ensemble opportunities.

The scholarship includes monthly development sessions with the Director of Music, encouragement to take regular vocal tuition, and structured outreach/partnerships work including Children’s Church music leadership and school assemblies. There is potential for expanded schools’ work, with remuneration adjusted accordingly.

The post is suitable for conservatoire students, university students, and emerging professionals aged 18–25, in full-time or part-time education.

Honorarium: £1,500 per annum (termly payments)
Additional fees: Weddings and funerals (£95 per singer)
